Hartford's Huntington Graduates: No Child Left Behind
March 12th, 2010
In September 2009, Hands On Hartford entered into a five-year agreement with Huntington Learning Center, a national provider of supplemental education services (SES), to provide tutoring services for students at Sanchez and Betances elementary schools in Hartford. Under this agreement, students who qualify under the federal No Child Left Behind Act would receive free tutoring during the school year.
We’re proud to announce that the first group of Huntington students will be graduating on March 12, and here are some of the things they had to say about their tutoring experience:
- “Huntington helped me stay focused on my school work”
- “With encouragement from my tutors, I completed all of my work”
- “My ability to come up with answers quickly and easily has helped me on the CMT “[CT Mastery Test]”
- “I like working with my tutor because it helps me in the classroom”
Congratulations to our first class of Huntington graduates! We wish them continued success in reaching their educational goals.
