Volunteers Needed for MANNA Assistance & Advocacy
January 25th, 2010
Are you going stir crazy with all this snow on the ground? Need to get out of the house? There are only so many snow men you can build so why not take a break and help Hands On Hartford hand out coats and winter clothing for a few hours?
As a result of the successful winter coat and clothing drive, Hands On Hartford’s MANNA Assistance & Advocacy (A&A) program is now looking for volunteers to help organize and distribute coats and clothing to clients. The coat closet at A&A is open Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00-11:45 and again from 1:30-3:30 and volunteers are needed during those times to assist staff by organizing the many coats that have been generously donated and to help clients choose a coat. Please check out our Project Calendar to sign up for as many shifts as you would like through the end of February.
If you can commit to volunteering for a regular shift one to two days a week for a long-term assignment as a volunteer leader, please call today. We would love to have a regular volunteer to help out with day-to-day tasks and operations including distributing winter clothing and client relations for our food pantry. Please call (860) 728-3201 ext. 2011 today for more information.
