50th Anniversary Celebration
Hands On Hartford celebrated its fiftieth anniversary on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the Hartford Downtown Marriott. 400 guests attended the event, which raised over $180,000 to support basic needs services provided by the agency to Hartford residents.
The event was emceed by Chion Wolf of CT Public Radio, featured a dance performance by Spectrum in Motion dance ensemble, a special 50th anniversary video illustrating the agency’s history, and congratulatory remarks by Mayor Luke Bronin. John Merz, Executive Director of AIDS Connecticut served as auctioneer. Chef Tyler Anderson of Millwright’s Restaurant, Porrón & Piña, and the newly opened Square Peg Pizzeria, was the featured speaker and pledged his ongoing support of Hands On Hartford.
